The publication looks at the evolution of the digital society in Romania. In this context, it presents the phenomenon of DC ++, trying to discover why, while authorities made efforts to achieve EU standards were overturned by a social evolutionism, a combination of technological development with a high level of illiteracy in the culture of copyright has prompted the Romanian Internet user to confront the current problems of virtual social space – such as producing a remix of culture or the game of the gift-based economy. Everything is presented – as the situation in Romania has us accustomed – in a romantic way to address the representation of themselves or to differentiate the private space of the public – as shown by the series of cultural artifacts collected from public hubs of DC ++.
